Molesky's Weekend Wagers

These lines for my fellow degenerate gamblers are going to be NFL-heavy this weekend, looking at plenty of the Sunday noon games. If you are looking to put some money down with me this weekend, here is where my money is going.

My Bets

I’m taking the Carolina Panthers minus-7 against the Buffalo Bills at home. This comes after a 23-3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers as the Panthers tried a lot of things out with Christian McCaffrey and the offense against a really bad team. While some money will probably be headed to Buffalo after a solid showing against the New York Jets, stick with the better defense and quarterback in Cam Newton.

The Oakland Raiders are 14-point favorites hosting the Jets, who looked awful on offense and only put up 214 total yards. The Jets defense also struggled against the run, as LeSean McCoy ran for 110 yards with 5.0 yards per carry. Now they will have to tangle with Derek Carr and the Oakland offense that looked to have Marshawn Lynch running healthy and the quarterback on two strong legs once again. Take the home team here as well.

Bets I Like

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Philadelphia Eagles and are minus-6. They have an explosive offense with speedsters all over the roster and sought defense with elite pass rusher Justin Houston leading the charge. This weekend is about the home favorites.

The Chicago Bears are headed out to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are seven-point favorites, and while the Falcons could not handle the cover, the Buccaneers and their high-powered offense that while look to stretch the field with Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson and O.J. Howard. Last home favorite to take.

The one road team that looks good is the Dallas Cowboys as three-point favorites on the road in Denver against the Broncos. The Cowboys have an offense that will slow the pace of the game down behind Ezekiel Elliott and the offensive line. It will be a tough road game but the defensive front proved they could get pressure against the Giants and the Broncos will have far more difficulty controlling the game in the trenches for this week’s matchup. This is the one road team to bet.

Good luck this weekend.
