Introducing Zone Coverage, Home of Cold Omaha

Source: Wikimedia.org

As you may have noticed, our website looks a little bit different. We’ve changed to a new color scheme. It is laid out a little differently. And now there’s a new logo on top next to Cold Omaha. This is all part of our ongoing effort to bring the most important Minnesota sports news to you as best we can.

We’re still going to have features and daily coverage. We’re still going to have your favorite podcasts. We’re even going to venture into video. Not much is changing, really, except that we feel there is a better way to get this information to you.

Whatever your Zone is — whether it be the Vikings and Twins, Wolves and Gopher basketball or hockey at all levels — Zone Coverage is going to be where you can find highlights from last night’s game, interviews from inside the locker room and lists of free agents each team should be looking at or key plays that led to the outcome of a recent game.

We’re also going to make an effort to dig deeper, with features that follow the path that a player has gone through to get to the major leagues, or a film breakdown that highlights a winning play. We’ll highlight key stats, break down important plays and try to take you deeper inside the inner workings of your favorite team.

Our goal is to cover Minnesota’s teams better than a person from a national publication parachuting in from New York or Los Angeles can, while also providing reliable information and insider reporting that only professional journalists and broadcasters can. We seek to provide original content with breadth and depth, while also aggregating stories and breaking news from around the web in order to make sure you don’t miss anything.

With Zone Coverage we’re committed to the same mission that Cold Omaha is: Bringing the best in Minnesota sports to you.
