Hicks Optioned; Mastroianni, Quentin Sent to Minor League Camp

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have optioned catcher John Hicks to Triple-A Rochester.

Additionally, they have reassigned the following players to minor league camp:  left-handed pitcher Dan Runzler, catcher Juan Centeno, infielder James Beresford and outfielders Darin Mastroianni and Carlos Quentin.

The Twins now have 29 players in camp (3 non-roster): 16 pitchers (3 non-roster), 2 catchers, 6 infielders and 5 outfielders.
