Norv Turner Resigns, Pat Shurmur Takes Over as Interim Offensive Coordinator

The Vikings have announced that Norv Turner has resigned as offensive coordinator, with tight ends coach Pat Shurmur filling in as interim offensive coordinator. Shurmur was Sam Bradford’s quarterbacks coach in Philadelphia and was an offensive coordinator for one year for Bradford in St. Louis.

Sam Ekstrom will have more later today on what this means for the Vikings and I will have a piece up later this week examining Shurmur’s evolving offensive philosophies over the years.
