The Minnesota Vikings caught a break Tuesday afternoon as the Green Bay Packers announced that quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be placed on injured reserve after playing one game in his return from a broken collarbone.
Brett Hundley will make his eight start of the year in Rodgers’ place.
With the Atlanta Falcons’ 24-21 win on Monday, the Packers were officially eliminated from playoff contention, giving them little incentive to put their franchise quarterback at further risk, especially against a defense as formidable as the Vikings’.
Hundley has eight touchdowns and eight interceptions this season and through three interceptions when he faced the Vikings in Week 6.
