Case Keenum Named NFC Offensive Player of the Month

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for November. In his three games this month, he’s thrown for a passer rating of 114 — throwing for 8.9 yards per attempt with seven touchdowns, two interceptions and completing passes at a 71.1 percent clip.

Only one other quarterback with an undefeated record for the month showcased a superior passer rating and it was AFC quarterback Tom Brady.

Though NFC quarterbacks Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford put together better passing statistics than Keenum in November, the fact that Keenum and the Vikings beat both teams likely tipped the scales in his favor.

According to the Vikings, this is the fourth time the Player of the Month awards have gone back to back with last month’s NFC Defensive Player of the Month Everson Griffen pairing with Case Keenum as the first duo since 1999 (Cris Carter and John Randle).

The most recent NFC Offensive Player of the Month awards for the Vikings have gone to Adrian Peterson, winning one for November 2015 and another for December 2012.
