As the dust has settled on the Vikings 2017 draft class additions, the countdown to Mankato begins. In my newest mini-series I evaluate each pick as we break down the tape on all 11 Vikings draft acquisitions.

We’ll be focusing on what each player can bring to the table and, more importantly, what they have to do to stand out in training camp for a chance at making the tight-knit Vikings ship that has room for just a few more soldiers inside its 53-man capacity.

Here are the first two rookie profiles:


The journey continues with former Miami Hurricane Stacy Coley. This wideout didn’t make the second-most receptions in school history by accident, using world class speed and acceleration. However, Coley’s lack of size and strength are concerning as he battles for a spot in a crowded group of receivers.

Again…Very good stuff….Of all the 7th rounders…This is the pick I liked least….He seems….Not so necessary with Adams being picked and I would have much rather have seen them pick Zane Gonzalez (K)…If you have 4 7th round picks..burning one on the best kicker in the draft seems to make sense given our recent kicking game….
