At 6-foot-5, 250 pounds, Tremaine Edmunds of Virginia Tech is physically imposing. His combination of athleticism and size means he could play outside linebacker or edge rusher at the next level.
And he’s only a teenager.
Edmunds won’t turn 20 years old until the week after the draft, potentially making him the second-youngest first-round pick in league history.
His last two years as a starting linebacker for the Hokies led to over 200 tackles, 30.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. As a 17 year old freshman, he made 2.5 tackles for loss in a bowl game win over Tulsa.
His brother Terrell, also of Virginia Tech, is a safety prospect in this year’s draft.
