REPORT: Twins, Diamondbacks Close to Eduardo Escobar Deal

Ken Rosenthal and Dan Hayes of The Athletic are reporting that the Minnesota Twins are close to moving utility man Eduardo Escobar to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

This tweet from Jon Heyman of Fancred seems to suggest the deal is at or very near the finish line:

While everyone waits to hear what is coming back to the Twins in a possible trade, here’s a look at the top-30 prospect list from the Diamondbacks via MLB.com.

Also worth noting: there is a Fogo de Chao near Phoenix! Google maps says it’s 15.2 miles from Chase Field.

UPDATE 1:

John Gambadoro — a radio host from Arizona Sports 98.7 in Phoenix — is reporting that the Diamondbacks have traded three minor-league prospects for Escobar.

He’s also saying there are no top-10 prospects on the move.
