Locks
Ravens ML (-120): There has been a lot of talk this week about the Baltimore Ravens dealing with injuries and players on the COVID list, but while Mark Ingram looks like he won’t play, the Ravens should be able to rally. Dez Bryant makes his Ravens debut and will add another red zone target alongside Mark Andrews for Lamar Jackson. I also had to watch the Cleveland Browns destroy the Indianapolis Colts while I was in Vegas, so I’m stuck thinking this Colts team is a little overrated. The Ravens are really good, and I’m not going to panic just yet about Jackson’s recent struggles.
Raiders ML (Even): The Las Vegas Raiders have been in the news this week for all the wrong reasons after breaching the NFL’s COVID rules, but they should be focused on the Los Angeles Chargers in this one. Justin Herbert could be a star in the making, but at the end of the day he’s a rookie quarterback on a team that has had a really hard time winning close ballgames. I believe in Derek Carr and company to get it done in LA.
Degenerates
Washington -2.5 (-110): This pick isn’t about how good I think the Washington Football Team is but more about how bad the New York Giants are. Daniel Jones has looked rough in his sophomore campaign, and without Saquon Barkley this offense is completely lost. Kyle Allen has been solid for the Football Team and 2.5 seems like a number they should be able to cover against a lowly Giants team.
Seahawks -2.5 (-110): The Seattle Seahawks should be getting Jamal Adams back for this one, which is huge for their defense. The weather is looking good in Buffalo, and I know Russ is ready to let it fly. The Seahawks are a little banged up, but they have the guys they need to be able to squeeze one out against a struggling Josh Allen.
