NBA – Lakers/Nets Over 221 (-110): 7:30 PM CT on ABC

Anytime the Brooklyn Nets are in action there’s a good chance there’s going to be a lot of points scored. This is the lowest number in quite some time for a Nets team that has dominated at the offensive end despite being short-handed all season.

As long as two of their three stars play, I like this total to sail into the 230s. The Lakers are missing their stars but in a game that should be a blowout the defenses should let down enough for this game to make it over. Keep an eye on Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant’s status but if they go lock it in.

NBA – Rockets +8.5 vs. Warriors (-110): 9:00 PM CT

The Houston Rockets since getting Christian Wood back and making a couple of moves at the deadline are actually starting to cover spreads.

Their reputation of getting blown out for over a month straight still seems to have Vegas making spreads too big. Both of these teams are coming off of a back to back and the Golden State Warriors don’t have exactly light teams up, to begin with. This bottom-feeding Rockets team has shown to be scrappy as of late with guys playing for their jobs so don’t overlook them, although I still think they lose this game — just by less than 9.

You never really know if a bad team will show up or not but the Warriors just aren’t that good, demonstrated by their last-minute meltdown just last night.
