Ben Leber Isn't Buying the Hype On Gregory Rousseau

Ben Leber is one of the few professional athletes that has made the transition from playing career the media look easy. He went from a stud linebacker to a dynamite radio personality, sideline analyst, and college football color commentator.

Well, now we can add draft analyst to that list. Over the last couple of seasons, Leber has been doling out his opinions on possible draft picks. He has a YouTube channel, Wide 9 Entertainment, where he goes deep into the process.

A name currently on the mind of many Viking fans is Gregory Rousseau. With the Vikings striking out so far at defensive end in free agency, and Danielle Hunter‘s future with the team up in the air, this could be a position of focus in the draft. Despite the fan base being revved up for Rousseau, Leber isn’t completely buying into the hype. Make sure you watch the video below and his other prospect videos. But here are a few bullet points before you click:

  • He’s Ben’s lowest-graded defensive end among players who could go in the first round.
  • He only one played season at defensive end and sat out last year.
  • He’s a monster and has the potential to be even bigger. Uses length well and has quickness.
  • His hand swipe is good, and he’s versatile, lining up as a nose tackle in the sub-package.
