Jimmy Garoppolo certainly needs to look better than he has in limited work so far this season, and his production should pick up tonight. I’ll give him somewhat of a pass for last week’s performance at elevation facing a tough defense, and expect a bounce-back game versus a Rams team he has a strong history against. But even if Jimmy G continues to struggle, he should at least get the ball to his security blanket enough to hit the over on this prop.
Last week in that ugly 49ers performance, Samuel still saw a season-high in targets (eight), receptions (five), and yards (73). The San Fran Swiss Army knife has also consistently brought it against the Rams in his career, averaging 92.6 yards per game and going 5-0 over this total the past two seasons. Samuel can line up anywhere on the field to avoid Jalen Ramsey, taking advantage of a poor-performing LA secondary. The Rams have allowed six different wide receivers to hit their yardage overs through the first three weeks, and a talent like Deebo should extend that streak.
