NBA (0.25 Unit) Miami Heat +2 @ Philadelphia 76ers (-110): 6 PM CT on ESPN

This series ends tonight, plain and simple. This Heat team is too good not to close out a roller coaster Sixers team even if it is on the road in Game 6. James Harden played well in Game 4, sparking a little life into Philly. But a Game 5 dud reminded us all that this isn’t the same Harden we are used to seeing in years past.

I’m only doing a quarter unit here because Miami has played poorly in this series at Philadelphia but Jimmy Butler and the Heat will be more than motivated to keep a “winner take all” game from taking place in a couple of days.

NBA (0.75 Unit) Phoenix Suns @ Dallas Mavericks +2 (-110): 8:30 PM CT on ESPN

Much like in the previous series, the home team has won every game in this series as well. So you might be asking, what’s the difference? The difference is in this series the home teams have done it by an average of 15 points. I’m not about to go against a trend like that, especially not against Luka the Don.

On top of that, Dallas is a tougher opponent for the Suns than the 76ers are for the Heat. When the Mavs have played well so far throughout the playoffs they’ve done it with a heavy dose from the three-point line so that will have to continue tonight in order for them to force a Game 7 against an impressive Suns team, but the way they play I think they can handle that task. What’s better than forcing a Game 7?
