NBA (1 Unit) Jalen Brunson Over 20.5 Points (-110): 8 PM CT on TNT
This number is simply too low for a guy coming off a 31-point masterpiece. Brunson not only has scored well as of late, but he’s also taken over 17 shots per game and he’s getting to the free-throw line at a high frequency. If the Mavs are going to have any chance at getting back in this series they will need a big game from an aggressive Brunson.
Bonus Bet (0.5 Unit): Luka Doncic Over 33.5 Points (-110):
I know I just took another player’s over on the same team but let’s not overthink this. The combo of Doncic and Brunson has not only scored over half of Dallas’ points recently, but they’ve also taken over half of the teams’ shots. Look for that to continue today when Luka the Don tries to take this series back into his hands at home.
MLB (0.5 Unit) Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 @ Baltimore Orioles (-105): 12:35 PM CT
I know, I know… the Rays just burned us on a gross ending to a game just a couple of days ago but in this world, it’s important to have a short memory. The Rays are a sneaky good team again this year to few peoples’ surprise and they’re going to look to Corey Kluber to keep that going today. This however isn’t about how good Kluber is returning from injury, but more about how deep the Rays’ lineup is going up against Spenser Watkins who is currently carrying a less than stellar 1.60 WHIP so far this year. The Rays should be able to clean up early and easy like a Sunday morning.
MLB (0.5 Unit) LA Dodgers -1.5 @ Philadelphia Phillies (+115): 12:35 PM CT
Everything is pointing towards a Dodger’s sweep in this one after winning the first two games of this series by three runs apiece. I know to some that would mean the Phillies are due for a win but not against Tony Gonsolin and the Dodgers. I expect the Dodgers to keep their impressive winning percentage going in the right direction while handing Philadelphia their fourth straight loss today. Save yourself the juice and take the run line in this one.
MLB Miami Marlins Moneyline Vs Atlanta Braves (-120): 12:40 PM CT
This is a great example of a degenerate bet, if you actually watch this game on a Sunday in May you’re in the right place. The Marlins are currently on a three-game home losing streak thus not allowing me to put them in as a lock today but hear me out. Two words, Sandy Alcantara. Although not a glamorous pick, Miami is due for a bounce-back win behind their ace Alcantara (2.49 ERA) against a mediocre Braves lineup.
Tiny Nick is 732-602 ATS (+80.5 Units) on his Locks since joining Zone Coverage.
Every day he will offer his Locks and Degenerate picks. Locks are the games he’s confident in. Degenerates are entertaining but riskier picks.
