MLB Minnesota Twins/San Diego Padres Over 8.5 (-110): 3:10 PM CT on Bally Sports North
As we’ve seen in the first two games of this series, either Minnesota’s pitching will surrender plenty of runs, or their offense will slug its way to a victory. Either way, that explains why the Twins are MLB’s best over bet in road games. Today might see both factors come into play in getting this one over the total.
Dylan Bundy showed once again in Milwaukee that he’s going to get hit quite a bit, and his 6.41 road ERA is going to be a factor in this one. But he’s been getting extremely consistent support from the offense, with the Twins now scoring six runs in each of his past five starts. They could easily do it again here facing Sean Manaea. The Padre lefty has had a rough July in compiling a 6.16 ERA, and just gave up nine runs to the meek Detroit lineup so he’s not in great form. With the way these teams are hitting the ball combined with struggling starters, this one could get over the number in a hurry.
