Degenerates
MLB SF Giants/San Diego Padres Over 7.5 (-110): 8:40 PM CT on MLB Network
After having the Dodgers remind them who’s boss in Southern California over the weekend, the Padres are in need of a bounce back. This new-look lineup is just too talented not to return to their high-scoring ways. They’ll face a pitcher in Alex Wood that they’ve had some success against this season, with the San Fran lefty compiling a 4.40 ERA against the Padres on the year. The newest San Diego sluggers should help to boost those numbers even more.
And this is also a spot where I can continue to back runs coming in Blake Snell starts, as his past 5 outings are 4-1 over this total. A lot of that has been San Diego finally providing him support, scoring 6.4 runs on average in those games. But this is also a Giants team that’s 2nd in baseball for scoring against lefties, with strong power metrics as well. San Fran looked like they rediscovered some of their offense over the weekend, so combining that with the powerful Padres lineup should get this game over a very low total.
