The season may be essentially over, but the future’s looking brighter and brighter each week in Green Bay. Christian Watson has fully emerged as a superstar in the making and completely changed the conversation around the Green Bay Packers. With a number one wide receiver in tow there is every reason to believe that the Packers could return to their contender status for the entirety of Aaron Rodgers tenure.
The national media is quickly taking notice and the compliments are flying. On Monday’s episode of The Herd, Colin Cowherd spoke directly to Packers fans about what Christian Watson’s emergence means for this team.
“If you’re a Packer fan you know the best part of that game? You have found a star in Christian Watson. You have got your number one. Doubs is also good but Christian Watson it does appear you have found a one. I’m not saying he’s Stefon Diggs or Justin Jefferson,Jamar Chase but you have found your one. So now that’s interesting to me. Now if Aaron has a little run here…maybe Aaron’s like you know what we found the one we got our guy. Now that you have got a number one back, now they’ve got a number one receiver, they got a number one corner, number one star quarterback.”
