One of the coolest changes in today’s media landscape is the emergence of player hosted podcasts. Fans, who are used to relying on journalists and talking heads to discuss their favorite team, can get insight and information right from the source. Draymond Green, Travis and Jason Kelce, and Patrick Peterson are just a few of the prominent names hosting their own show this year.
Thanks to Darius Slay and his show Big Play Slay, this week Packers fans got a first-hand report of Jordan Love’s performance on Sunday night. And it was glowing.
“Green Bay’s got a bright bright future…like bright…cuz buddy was slinging IT. He low key look like A-Rod, like he’s been learning a lot.” Pretty cool to see one of the best cornerbacks in the league give Love that sort of credit. If Slay is hopeful for the future in Green Bay, Cheeseheads should be as well.
Slay wasn’t the only one discussing Love’s potential this week. The topic of Love replacing Aaron Rodgers for the remainder of the season made its rounds on the morning sports shows and found pretty resounding support. It will be interesting to see how things play out, but even in a season we’re all seems lost, Packers fans have something to be hopeful about.
