Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina

While Mark Andrews is virtually the same size and runs the same 40 time as Hayden Hurst, the two have very different resumes.

Andrews is a pure pass catcher, while Hurst also profiles as fierce blocker, which could make it much easier for NFL coordinators to use him in “12” or “13” personnel.

Amazingly, Hurst began his athletic career as a pitching prospect for the Pittsburgh Pirates, but because of a chronic control issue on the mound, he tabled his baseball dreams to pursue football.

Hurst set South Carolina’s single-season record for tight end receptions in 2016, but he only scored three career touchdowns. That being said, he still should possess the quickness to be an effective offensive player in the pros and the blocking prowess that could get him on the field right away.

At age 24, he may have a lower ceiling than younger prospects.

PRODUCTIVITY SCORE: 97.0 | ATHLETICISM SCORE: 106.1 | AGE SCORE: 66.5

FINAL SCORE: 89.9
