Genard Avery took his game to the next level as a senior at Memphis, likely solidifying his spot as a Day 3 draft pick. Avery recorded career highs in all major categories with 80 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. He finished with 21.5 sacks in his career.
Avery, 6-foot-1, 255 pounds, is an inside linebacker with 4.59 speed and explosive workout numbers. At minimum he should be a special teams player in Year 1.
