Like the Vikings’ Pat Elflein, Michael Jordan started at guard and moved to center at Ohio State, where he had a successful three-year career. Jordan was a rare true freshman starter for the Buckeyes and didn’t miss a game over the next three seasons. Showed great improvement in pass-protection over his career but not as much as a run-blocker. Displayed great explosive traits at the combine. His interior flexibility gives this M.J. plenty of pro potential.

Size

6-6, 312 pounds

Combine notables

40-yard dash: 5.27 seconds
Bench: 19 reps (T4th worst at position)
Vertical: 32.5 inches (5th at position)
Broad jump: 116 inches (3rd at position)
3-cone drill: 7.71 seconds
20-yard shuttle: 4.71 seconds

What the analysts say

“Center-guard prospect with NFL size and a frame that should add even more mass and muscle. Jordan has rare height for a center but has easy flexibility in his hips, knees and ankles, allowing him to man the position. He’s a little lazy with his hands and might not move well enough for teams asking their interior linemen to get out in space. His 2017 guard tape might be more appealing to teams as he flashed as a drive-blocker. His size and versatility could make him a Day 2 draft pick with starting potential early in his career.” – Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

“Jordan was an immediate starter for the Buckeyes, become the first freshman to start on the offensive line for Ohio State since Orlando Pace in 1994. A three-year starter, Jordan has played both guard and center for the Buckeyes and will offer valuable interior positional flexibility at the next level. Jordan’s toolbox is loaded with traits but he will need some fine-tuning with his hands and leverage. It may take a season or two, but Jordan has the upside to start in the NFL.” – Joe Marino, The Draft Network
