A tight end with lots of momentum in the pre-draft process, Kahale Warring brings the hope of untapped potential as a Day 3 tight end. Warring didn’t come onto the scene until his redshirt sophomore year because of an injury his freshman year. While his production was relatively low because of opportunity, his yards per route run shows his effectiveness when on the field. With prototypical tight end size and strong testing numbers, it will be fascinating to see what Warring can do with a professional quarterback.

Size

6-5, 252 pounds

Combine notables

40-yard dash: 4.67 seconds (6th at position)
Bench: 19 reps
Vertical: 36.5 inches (T3rd at position)
Broad jump: 122 inches (3rd at position)
3-cone drill: 7.21 seconds
20-yard shuttle: 4.25 seconds (4th at position)

What the analysts say

“Exciting and ascending, Warring is still a relative newcomer to the game, but he has the size, speed and athleticism to become a versatile, high-impact player on the pro level. He has the competitiveness to handle run-blocking duties and the talent to line up in the slot. While his production won’t catch your eye, his tape does with quickness and ball skills that should make him a more productive target in the NFL than he was in college.” – Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

“Warring has the quickness and speed of a big wide receiver, but the length of a tight end and the biceps of a greek god. His routes and releases are already surprisingly polished, and while he can improve a bit as a blocker and continue to sharpen his ball skills, the work ethic and football character attributed to him at San Diego State bodes well for him reaching his high ceiling. Time this man gets the love he deserves as a top 100 prospect.” – Jon Ledyard, The Draft Network
