Green Bay Packers Get Good News On Jaire Alexander

The past few seasons of Green Bay Packers football have felt like a never ending battle against the health bug. Sure injuries are just part of the game in the NFL, but the Packers have consistently missed having important players.

Just as David Bakhtiari finally broke his way back in to the lineup Jaire Alexander exited. The superstar corner left Sunday’s game against the Bucs due to a groin injury and didn’t return.

Matt Lafluer had said Alexander is day to day, but Green Bay got good news this afternoon as the best cornerback in the league participated in a jog through on Wednesday.

Well still not fully practicing, the jog through is certainly reason for optimism, as any athlete dealing with something more serious wouldn’t be moving like that this early in a week. It seems to confirm Tom Pelissero of NFL Network’s report from earlier this week that there was belief that Alexander did not suffer a significant injury of any sort.

Also of importance, rookie wide receiver Christian Watson was able to participate in practice Wednesday as well.

Take a deep breath Packers fans and we will keep you updated and hopefully sooner rather than later you will get to see your potential Super Bowl roster at close to full strength.
