Arif Hasan contributed to this report. After attending the Senior Bowl and taking note of whose stock rose and whose stock fell, our very own Luke Inman and Arif Hasan formulated a new first-round mock draft. Picks 1-10 can be found HERE, 11-20 are below and 21-32 will be released Friday. 11) New Orleans Saints: Marshon Lattimore, Cornerback, Ohio State (Luke) I’m just going to come out and say it: while it may not be the deepest, this is the best group of cornerbacks at the top I’ve ever seen. You can make a legitimate case for six different cornerbacks to be the first off the board. Lattimore is one of the most intriguing, though, with arguably the best blend of size, length and ball skills. Not nearly as polished as the others you’re banking on developing, Lattimore has an ultra-high ceiling of raw talent. 12) Cleveland Browns (via Eagles): Deshaun […]
Did you miss Picks 1-10 or 11-20? Click the links to go back and check out what you missed. Luke Inman and Kyle Posey have you covered with this first edition mock draft. Here’s Part 3… PICK 21: Detroit Lions (Inman) SELECTION: DE Taco Charlton, Michigan He will walk onto the field with the NFL size and strength teams covet as a traditional base defensive end. Coaches will need to work on his technique and pass rushing sequence but all the tools are there to make a big impact with Ziggy Ansah commanding all the attention. PICK 22: Miami Dolphins (Posey) SELECTION: OLB Jarrad Davis, Florida The Dolphins have struggled so much at the linebacker position this year. They need to upgrade desperately at both outside spots, and Davis is the athlete that can cover that Miami is looking for. PICK 23: Oakland Raiders (Inman) SELECTION: RB Christian McCaffery, Stanford […]
I know I know. The 2016 draft concluded no more than days ago and I’m already talking about next season? In a league that has turned into a “win now” mode, there isn’t time to catch our breaths as we turn over every stone and get started on next year’s prospects. Here’s a fresh look at some big names to watch for throughout the 2017 season and expect to hear their names called early in the draft. Deshaun Watson, Quarterback, Clemson (Sophomore) Unless you were stuck in a deep dark cave during the 2016 season you’ve likely heard of this man. Watson was explosive and methodical in his precisioned path to the national championship game. Watson has a little bit of Russell Wilson in his game with the ability to burn you up with his feet, while cutting your defense to shreds as a pocket passer with smart reads and […]
