2017 Senior Bowl: Tanoh Kpassagnon

From the moment Tanoh Kpassagnon stepped onto the stage at the early morning weigh-in, all eyes were glued to him. The 6-foot-7 defensive end from Villanova used his ultra-long arms to stun opposing offensive tackles all week long. However, what’s even more impressive is his 280-lb. frame which carries his NFL strength and movement skills.

Kpassagnon told me he was focused on proving to scouts and coaches alike that he could transition smoothly when facing off against the nation’s top-tier competition, a big jump up in play from what he faced when playing for the Wildcats.

With his rare blend of unique skills, Kpassagnon proved he is worthy of a top-pick consideration, but just how high is a team willing to go on such a raw player?

That’s the million-dollar question, literally.

Watching him at practice it’s hard not to see a version of former New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, with similar movement skills and explosion. A smart player with a bright personality, Kpassagnon could cement his status as one of the best projects in the entire draft at next month’s combine in Indianapolis.
