On Monday, the Minnesota Twins announced dates for Spring Training 2017 in Fort Myers, Fla. Pitchers and catchers will report on Monday, Feb. 13 and begin working out the next day. That Saturday (Feb. 18) the rest of the team will report, and full-squad workouts begin on Sunday.
The Twins have 35 games scheduled for Spring Training (18 home, 17 away) and open play on Feb. 24 against Tampa Bay.
Different this season is that the Twins will have exhibition games against Team USA (March 8) and Colombia (March 9) as those teams prepare for the World Baseball Classic. Finally, the Twins wrap up the spring schedule against the Rochester Red Wings.
