No. 2 Breck 9, Marshall 2

Gabby Billing had four points while Carly Bienek, Olivia Mobley and Luci McGlynn all tallied a pair of goals for the Mustangs. The score was 7-0 before Marshall got on the board in the third, as it added a pair of its own for some window dressing.

Proctor/Hermantown 3, No. 3 Red Wing 1

An upset was how the afternoon session came to a close as The Mirage — Proctor/Hermantown — were able to keep Taylor Heise and Red Wing off the board until the game’s closing seconds. Mariah Haedrich and Megan Madill had a pair of points for the Mirage, as they advance to Friday afternoon’s semifinals against Breck.

No. 1 Warroad 5, New Ulm 0

Warroad’s Hannah Corneliusen potted two goals while Madison Oelkers added a pair of points in the Warriors 5-0 defeat over New Ulm. Quinn Kuntz made all 20 saves — nine of which came in the third period — for top-seeded Warroad to keep a clean sheet and advance on to the semifinals.

No. 4 Alexandria 3, No. 5 St. Paul United 2

Three straight goals between the second and third period helped Alexandria move on to Friday’s semifinals. Kristin Trosvig had a pair of goals while Hailee Bailey made 33 saves — including some crucial ones in the game’s final minutes — to get the Cardinals the win in Wednesday’s final game.
