Vikings Exercise 5th-Year Options on Floyd, Rhodes; Sign 10 Rookie Free Agents

The Minnesota Vikings have exercised the 5th-year options on DT Sharrif Floyd and CB Xavier Rhodes.

Floyd was the 23rd overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft while Rhodes was selected 25th overall. Both players held starting roles on the NFL’s 5th (19.3 ppg) ranked scoring defense in 2015.

Additionally, the Vikings have signed 10 rookie free agents:

Theiren Cockran, DE,  Minnesota

Jake Ganus, LB, Georgia

Marken Michel, WR, UMass

Denzell Perine, DE, Florida International

Jhurell Pressley, RB, New Mexico

Brandon Ross, RB, Maryland

Joel Stave, QB, Wisconsin
