The Minnesota Vikings announce that they have re-signed Kenrick Ellis.
Ellis enters his 6th season in the NFL and his 2nd with the Vikings. He recorded 8 tackles and 1 QB pressure in 9 games with the Vikings after signing with the club during the middle of the 2015 season.
The Lake Worth, Fla., native originally entered the NFL with the New York Jets in the 3rd round (94th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft and spent 4 seasons with the club. He has logged 74 tackles, 1.0 sack and 1 FF in 56 career games.
Ellis began his collegiate career at South Carolina before transferring after his freshman year to Hampton (Va.), where he became a two-time All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference performer.
