The Minnesota Vikings have announced that they have signed Travis Lewis.

Lewis signs with the Vikings after spending the first 4 seasons of his career with the Detroit Lions. He has appeared in 42 games including 4 starts, all of which came during the 2015 season.

Originally drafted by the Lions in the 7^th round (223^rd overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft, Lewis played primarily on special teams in Detroit, recording 19 special teams tackles in 4 seasons.

The San Antonio, Texas native saw his first extensive action on defense in 2015, adding 13 tackles, 1.0 sack, 1 QB pressure and 2 TFLs in 15 appearances (4 starts).

The 5^th-year linebacker was a 4-year starter at Oklahoma, where he became the first player in school history to lead the team in tackles 4 straight seasons.
