Vikings Sign Melvin White

The Minnesota Vikings have signed CB Melvin White to a reserve/future contract.

White was released by the Carolina Panthers on 9/3/15 with an injury settlement before joining the St. Louis Rams practice squad on 9/15/15, where he spent the 2015 campaign.

The Freeport, Texas, native originally signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft. In his time in Carolina, White played in 30 games, earning 17 starts during the 2013-14 seasons amassing 80 tackles (66 solo), 4 PDs, 3 INTs, and scored 1 TD.

The former Ragin’ Cajun appeared in 3 playoff games with 1 start for the Panthers and totaled 5 tackles (4 solo) and 1 PD in the postseason.
