4/20: Twins Fall to 0-7 on the Road with 10-5 Loss to Milwaukee Brewers

The Minnesota Twins are 0-7 on the road and 4-11 on the season after losing 10-5 to the Milwaukee Brewers. Starter Tommy Milone lasted only 4.2 innings, Oswaldo Arcia made three mistakes in the outfield and struck out in a bases-loaded situation, and Ryan Pressly gave up four earned runs in the loss.

“Sloppiness always concerns a manager, when we don’t execute,” manager Paul Molitor told the media after the game after Arcia became the third Twins outfielder in two days to be charged with an error.

Aaron Hill, Chris Carter and Domingo Santana homered for the Brewers, who set a season high for runs.

Minnesota got on the board first, scoring a run in the second inning, and were able to tie it up 4-4 in the sixth after giving up three runs in the fifth, but Milwaukee took over after that.

Pressly was tagged with the loss after giving up four runs in 1.1 innings pitched, and misplays by Arcia led to three-run fifth and four-run seventh innings.

“We know errors are part of the game, but you like to clean that up the best you can,” Molitor told the media. “Sometimes you trade offensive players that maybe aren’t your best defensive players, and sometimes you’ve got to be able to deal with the consequences when it doesn’t work out for you.”
