The Minnesota Twins announce that they will return infielder Trevor Plouffe from his rehab assignment and reinstate him from the 15-day disabled list, prior to tonight’s game in Houston.

He has missed the Twins last 14 games with a right intercostal strain.  He played two games for Single-A Ft. Myers on his rehab assignment.

To make room for Plouffe on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned infielder Jorge Polanco to Triple-A Rochester.
