Twins Place Milone on Disabled List, Recall Dean

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed left-handed pitcher Tommy Milone on the 15-day disabled list with left biceps tendinitis.  Milone appeared in 15 games (12 starts for the Twins this season, going 3-4 with a 5.68 ERA (65.0 IP, 41 ER), 19 walks and 43 strikeouts.

To replace Milone on the 25-man roster, the Twins have recalled left-handed pitcher Pat Dean from Triple-A Rochester.   Dean went 5-7 with a 5.56 ERA (87.1 IP, 54 ER), 19 walks and 49 strikeouts in 16 starts for the Red Wings.  He made eight appearances (6 starts) for the Twins earlier this season, going 1-3 with a 5.54 ERA (39.0 IP, 24 ER), 15 walks and 28 strikeouts.
