Twins Place Santana on Disabled List, Select Schafer

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed outfielder Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder AC joint sprain.  He suffered the injury in the first inning today when colliding with left-fielder Robbie Grossman.

To replace Santana on the 25-man roster, the Twins will select outfielder Logan Schafer from Triple-A Rochester.   Schafer has appeared in 64 games for the Red Wings this season hitting .264 (57-for-216) with seven doubles, a triple, four home runs and 19 RBI.

Schafer, who played in parts of five seasons from 2011-15 with the Milwaukee Brewers, was signed by the Twins as a minor league free agent on June 1.  He will join the Twins in Cleveland and wear uniform number 32.
