Wild Reassign G Steve Michalek

Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender Steve Michalek (pronounced MIKE-ah-leck) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Michalek, 22 (8/6/93), was recalled under emergency conditions on Friday and has not appeared in a game for Minnesota. He is 6-3-0 with a 2.46 goals-against average (GAA) and a .919 save percentage (SV%) in nine games with Iowa this season and 12-8-4 with a 2.42 GAA, a .924 SV% and two shutouts in 24 games with the Quad City Mallards (ECHL).
