Twins Flashback Friday: Simpler Times, Man

We’ve fallen back down the YouTube rabbit hole this week with a fun account called “Classic Twins.” No seriously, you’ll lose days off your life if you subscribe like I have.

I’ve long held the contention that I would subscribe the crap out of a cable channel that just showed random Twins games. Yes, any old game. June 7, 1995? I’d watch the heck out of that. I don’t even care if the Twins lost 10-2 to the Seattle Mariners (note: they actually lost 6-3 to the Brewers at the Metrodome that day.), but I would be entertained by that.

This is probably the next best thing, and while it isn’t just random games, it can give you a glimpse into the Twins of the past.

And who wouldn’t like to remember some teams of the past coming off a 100-plus loss season? So sit back, drift away and enjoy the Twins beating the Indians to clinch the 2003 division title. Enjoy the League of Nations infield, the Soul Patrol outfield and skinny Gardy coming onto the field after the game, telling Mike Herman — if you’re reading this, Mike, Cold Omaha loves you — not to bother him as he heads out to join the celebrating horde of Twins on the infield.

If you’re interested, here’s the Baseball Reference game log to monitor as you watch.
