MOLESKY: Top 5 Players To Share A Drink (And/Or Weekend) With

This is not your average ranking of NBA players. In fact, these are all the current players I believe would provide the most entertainment while sharing an adult beverage.

5. Nick Young –  Even his Halloween game is on point, as he went to clubs on the spooky night dressed as a present that read “Gift To Women,” which is a bold call. When given the chance between strip clubs and Iggy Azalea, he chose strip clubs. When the wedding was called off, instead of remorse the man threw a huge 4th of July bash. Swaggy P definitely knows a solid place to get a drink, with a legendary bounce-back game.

4. Damian Lillard – Lillard has recently branched out from basketball into the rap scene, releasing his first album “Letter O” was released last year under his rap name: Dame D.O.L.L.A. He has also released an album in 2017, called “B4td Reloaded.” Since his rap career took off, he has done shows and been seen at clubs with names like Flo Rida and Ivan Dorn. Going out with Lillard likely means going out with the Hip-Hop community.

3. Draymond Green – After winning his first ring with the Golden State Warriors, Green tried rapping himself by throwing together a diss rhyme about Cleveland during their parade while intoxicated. Since then he has proven that heading out with him is an entertaining time, whether he is getting into it with Michigan State football players or racking up a $150,000 tab at a San Francisco bar and crashing at Klay Thompson’s house. One thing is clear: Green is entertaining on and off the court.

2. J.R. Smith – What is there to say about a man who’s senior quote was “Get girls or die trying?” In his time with the New York Knicks, he lived in the Manhattan club scene, hit on Knicks fans and was found out to be hungover for much of the 2013 playoffs, even getting called out by Rihanna. His time on road trips did not hold him back, running up room service bills as high as $3,000. In Cleveland, the 3-point specialist highlighted the Finals victory with an entire week without a shirt, from the victory well through the parade. Can any hang with a Smith party?

1. Joel Embiid – This is my No. 1 player if you are looking for some weekend fun, primarily because of his fun personality that he has no problem sharing. He is well documented as a Shirley Temple lover, himself noting he drinks probably two to three pitchers per day, but loves the drink because he hates alcohol and started the obsession in college at Kansas. Despite staying away from the hard stuff, he had a well-documented stint shirtless at a Meek Mill concert and after a particularly great game and a win, was seen in downtown Philadelphia, sporting his own jersey. From the social media presence to his peculiar vices, Embiid would be by far the most entertaining drink partner.
