Nick Gordon Ranked Among Keith Law's Top 50 Prospects

Nick Gordon, the Minnesota Twins top prospect according to Baseball America, is ranked No. 30 in Keith Law’s updated Top 50 prospect rankings on ESPN (insider required).

“Gordon continues to hit and to play solid defense at short, with a little more power already this year (six homers, after hitting only five in his first three years in pro ball),” writes Law. “He’s a high-floor prospect whose exceptional feel for the game will help him exceed his tools.”

Gordon has played 65 games at short this year for Double-A Chattanooga, 14 at second base. He is hitting .297/.365/.448 as of his publishing and is three years younger than most players in Class AA.

Gordon is the son of Tom Gordon, who played in the majors from 1988 to 2009, and his brother Dee currently plays for the Miami Marlins.
