Another week of hockey in the books, and surprisingly, the Minnesota Wild made it out of the week where everything wasn’t truly terrible. This week aims to be an exciting one, as we get to see the Hockey Hall of Fame enshrine some new members on Monday night.

Minnesota Wild week ahead:
Tuesday, Nov. 14 vs. Philadelphia (8-7-2) – 7 p.m.
Minnesota finishes a home-and-home series with the Flyers on Tuesday night. The Wild defeated Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Center 1-0 on Saturday night thanks to another solid Jason Zucker/Devan Dubnyk performance. Minnesota will be aiming to go for its first three-game winning streak of the season, as it attempts to gain some momentum before the schedule to end the month gets rough.
Thursday, Nov. 16 vs. Nashville (9-5-2) – 7 p.m.
The brief two-game homestand comes to an end as the Wild meet defending Western Conference champions Nashville for the first time this season. The Preds are entering the week as winners of their past four games, and if you did not hear, got a bit better this past week with the acquisition of Kyle Turris.
Saturday, Nov. 18 at Washington (9-7-1) – 6:30 p.m.
Making their only trip out to Washington is how the Wild end the week. The Wild haven’t exactly had good history in the nation’s capital — 2-7-1 at Capital One (formerly Verizon) Center — and they have not defeated Washington in general since the 2014-15 season. That Alex Ovechkin fellow is off to a good start this year (13 goals) and he is always good to roast the Wild. He has 14 goals in 12 career games against them.

Tuesday, Nov. 14 — Washington (9-7-1) at Nashville (9-5-2) – 7 p.m.
Two of the hottest teams in the league square off on Tuesday — and against the Wild later in the week — as Washington makes the annual trip to the Music City. Even better news for hockey fans: NBCSN is taking a break from their Blackhawks/Penguins-heavy schedule to broadcast this game.
Thursday, Nov. 16 — New Jersey (10-4-2) at Toronto (12-7-0) – 6 p.m.
A couple of young run-and-gun teams battle on Thursday night at the Air Canada Centre. The Devils enter the week still holding onto the Metropolitan Division lead — as we all expected — while Toronto has won four in a row to get back up in the top two of the Atlantic division. If you want to kill an hour before Thursday night’s Wild game, give this game a look for some good old-fashioned fun hockey.
Hockey Hall of Fame Inductions:
At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, the Hockey Hall of Fame will open its doors and welcome in seven new members.
Those being inducted Monday night are:
- Clare Drake: builders category (longtime University of Alberta head coach)
- Jeremy Jacobs: builders category (Boston Bruins owner, current chairman of NHL Board of Governors)
- Dave Andreychuk: forward (Buffalo Sabres/Toronto Maple Leafs/New Jersey Devils/Boston Bruins/Colorado Avalanche/Tampa Bay Lightning)
- Danielle Goyette: forward (Hockey Canada, fifth female elected to the Hockey HOF)
- Mark Recchi: forward (Pittsburgh Penguins/Philadelphia Flyers/Montreal Canadiens/Carolina Hurricanes/Atlanta Thrashers/Tampa Bay Lightning/Boston Bruins)
- Paul Kariya: forward (Anaheim Mighty Ducks/Colorado Avalanche/Nashville Predators/St. Louis Blues)
- Teemu Selanne: forward (Winnipeg Jets/Anaheim Mighty Ducks/San Jose Sharks/Colorado Avalanche)

- Jaromir Jagr made a young fan’s night by giving out his stick after Friday night’s game.
- Trevor Strader, son of the late hockey broadcaster Dave Strader, sang the national anthem at American Airlines Center on Tuesday night. Fittingly, it was the Stars’ Hockey Fights Cancer night.
- Brian Boyle netted his first goal since being diagnosed with Leukemia on Thursday night.
