Wild Announce Development Camp, Including Scrimmages, Block Party

Minnesota Wild prospects will get a chance to skate at Xcel Energy Center as part of the team’s development camp from July 8-13. Wild fans can see the players on the ice at two open scrimmages.

Forty-two players are set to attend, including Jordan Greenway, Lakeville native Justin Kloos, a total of 11 Minnesota-born players and the Wild’s 2017 draft picks.

Fans wanting to get a look at the prospects in action can attend scrimmages at 2:30 p.m. on July 11 and 5 p.m. on July 13 at the X. The scrimmage format will be two running-time halves of 30 minutes. The scrimmages are free and open to the public. Fans may enter Gate 1 at the X starting 30 minutes before each scrimmage. For those that can’t make it, Wild.com will stream the scrimmages.

After the second scrimmage, the team will host a Block Party from 6-9 p.m. at the Seven Corners parking lot across West Seventh Street from Xcel Energy Center. Hockey fans can enjoy the evening with games, outdoor activities, food trucks and beverage stations.

As part of the camp, players will also have daily strength and conditioning sessions and go over sports psychology, media training and nutrition education.
