At 6-foot-4 and under 300 pounds, James Daniels may be a tad undersized, but his agility makes up for it. Daniels finished top 10 in 20-yard shuttle, broad jump, vertical and 3-cone drill at the combine.
He started mostly at center during his sophomore and junior seasons at Iowa, but as a freshman he mixed in at guard and tackle. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz has said he believes Daniels would make a good pro guard.
The Academic All-Big Ten honoree doesn’t turn 21 until September.
