After a topsy-turvy career at Florida State shrouded by ambiguous violations and injury issues, Matthew Thomas is looking for a fresh start at the NFL level.

Thomas was recruited as a five-star talent out of high school, then dealt with a shoulder injury early in his career, as well as a six-game suspension as a redshirt freshman. His sophomore year was then wiped out due to academic ineligibility, roughly the same time that his mother passed away.

The linebacker then bounced back as a junior and senior to become one of the Seminoles’ top tacklers but continued to run into trouble off the field, including a disorderly intoxication misdemeanor.

At 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, the physical traits are there. He also had an unbelievable combine, but Thomas just has to prove he’s right between the ears to get a look in the NFL.

PRODUCTIVITY SCORE: 108.6 | ATHLETICISM SCORE: 108.2 | AGE SCORE: 96.8
