Sam Darnold hasn’t generated the headlines of Baker Mayfield, Josh Rosen or Lamar Jackson, but he’s still very much in play to be one of the top picks in the draft.
As a redshirt freshman, Darnold led USC to a Rose Bowl victory as he threw for 31 touchdowns and nine interceptions his first season. He passed it far more in Year 2 and saw his efficiency dip, but he still posted 26 touchdowns against 13 picks.
At 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, he’s a pocket passer; not a runner.
Perhaps the most impressive item on his college resume? He co-hosted a podcast and had USC alum Will Ferrell on as a guest.
