Luke Inman spent a week in January in Mobile, Ala., scouting Senior Bowl prospects, many of whom are potential candidates for the Minnesota Vikings to draft. Below is a compilation of the content from Mobile, including articles, podcasts and prospect interviews.

WEIGH-IN WINNERS AND RECEIVER STANDOUTS

If you want a theme of Day 1, it was the Senior Bowl talent going chalk as the players and position groups with the most hype lived up to the billing. Entering the week, the wideouts weren’t just the talk of the town but the cream of the draft class too, and they didn’t disappoint.

DAY 2 WINNERS

Nobody was better than Baylor’s Denzel Mims, who sucked up everything in his vicinity, including a deep bomb down the left sideline going up and over the defensive back. Mims will get knocked for his limited route tree coming out of Baylor’s spread-’em-out system. However, the body control, catch radius and aggressive nature at the ball’s highest point have been outstanding.

FIVE SENIOR BOWL PLAYERS TO WATCH FOR THE VIKINGS

After an outstanding career, Josh Jones could cement himself into a top-20 pick with a great week in Mobile. A rare blend of size (6’7”, 315) and freaky athleticism, Jones offers teams not just a raw ball of clay, but a high-end prospect with a solid body of work at Houston. He’s another offensive lineman to keep a close eye on during Senior Bowl week. In fact, it could be argued that nobody has more to gain this week than Jones — who just might require the Vikings’ 25th overall pick on Day 1 of the draft.

SENIOR BOWL SUPERLATIVES

The Senior Bowl is such a rare opportunity to shake the small-school label, and no one did that more than Kyle Dugger, who proved he can not just hang with the big boys but can make an impact in a big way.
