Locks
MLB (0.5 Unit) Atlanta Braves/Houston Astros Over 8.5 (-110): 7:10 PM CT on FOX
The bats for both teams have been hot and cold throughout this World Series. But with these pitchers going tonight, I see them staying hot off Sunday’s high-scoring game.
Atlanta Braves starter Max Fried has really struggled in the postseason, having allowed 11 runs in his past two starts. With the Houston Astros touching him up for 6 of those in Game 2 last week, I see him continuing his struggles in this small and strange ballpark. Houston has hit lefties like Fried much better in the postseason, and their confidence at the plate should be high after a 9-run outburst on Sunday.
It should also be pointed out that Houston is starting Luis Garcia on just 3 days of rest, likely putting a lot more work on an already tired bullpen. The Braves are very capable of contributing to the scoring here with those matchups, and it should be easy to get this game over on a fairly low total.
