NFL (1.5 Units) Three-Team, 10-Point Teaser; Cardinals -2, Cowboys -1.5, Packers +3.5 (-120):
It’s been a bad year for favorites but I think last week was an indication that the law of averages has to kick in at some point. Speaking of last week, I went for a ridiculous four-team moneyline parlay and not only did it win, it would have covered against the spread as well for a gigantic payout.
This week I feel the same way, but for the sake of my record and running up another likely win I’m going to three-team tease it. I would normally separate these write ups but this one is simple. All of these teams are going for the NFC No. 1 seed and they’re all facing dumpster fire teams as well as backups in two of three of them.
- The Cardinals are ready to bounce back from their worst performance of the season and who better to do it against than the worst team in the league? The Lions got their lone win and are ready to pack it in for the year.
- As for the Cowboys, they’re facing a backup quarterback on a team that was mediocre at best to begin with. Dak Prescott alongside a revamped Cowboys defense will be ready to go against Mike Glennon and the lowly Giants.
- And finally, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers should have no problem. The Ravens are decimated by injuries and although I hope Tyler Huntley starts for them, an injured Lamar Jackson shouldn’t be of much concern either for the Packers on their quest to obtain the NFC No. 1 seed.
NFL (0.5 Units) New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers -11 (-110): 7:20 PM CT on NBC
The Saints quarterback situation is just not going to be able to keep up with Tom Brady, it’s that simple. I can’t think of a more fun bet than to root for Tom Brady to destroy a hobbled Saints team that just can’t wait for this season to get over with. Just like the teams in my teaser, the Bucs need this win in their pursuit of the 1 seed in the NFC. Taysom Hill and Co. would be lucky to come within two touchdowns so I’ll take my chances with the Bucs at minus-11.
