Despite having cashed it, forget everything I said on Tuesday when explaining why the Washington Wizards game was a strong under play – that kind of logic simply gets thrown out the window when these two teams get together. If a season series doesn’t see a game below 256 points and averages 272, do you really want the under at any number?
I don’t, and I think we’re in for another scoreboard breaker tonight as the Indiana Pacers know their one shot in this game is to win a track meet. Against Charlotte on Tuesday, the Pacers got a 261-point affair against a team that’s just 19th in pace. The Wizards, who are the fastest-paced team in the NBA, will be an even more willing partner to play Indiana’s style.
Vegas simply hasn’t been able to line a total properly for when these teams face off, and while it might feel a little square I have to count on the style from the regular season to carry over into this matchup.
Bonus Bet: This game should be a prop feeding frenzy, but I’m looking at Domantas Sabonis for one in particular. His PAR (Points/Assists/Rebounds) total sits at 48.5 which is incredibly low. In the season series, Sabonis averaged 59.7 PAR, easily clearing this total in all three games. With no Caris LeVert for this game and Malcolm Brogdon hobbled the Pacers have to rely on Sabonis more than usual, and he should stuff the stat sheet against a weak Washington frontcourt
