From the moment the game clock struck zero on Sunday afternoon we all knew what was coming. You can’t perform the way the Green Bay Packers performed in US Bank Stadium without becoming the topic of hot takes and over reactions.
Twitter was a mess and the network shows followed suit. Yes, young wide receivers struggled. Yes, the vaunted defense got shredded. Yes, our star quarterback looked completely over it. But any true Packer fan can tell you this is not the time to overreact.
We’ve seen it before. We saw it last year in New Orleans and we’ve constantly watched Aaron Rodgers have to keep people in check from the podium over the years.
Now is not the time to bet against the Green and Gold and one man who seems to understand that is Dan Orlovsky of ESPN.
Appearing on First Take this morning, he had to talk through an insanely out of control Michael Irvin to get across his point. There were factors that contributed to this loss that will be resolved. This team will be fine.
Despite Irvin’s outrageous rant about the Packers’ weapons, Orlovsy correctly pointed out what’s happening in Green Bay. This is a team that is finally being built correctly. And it will get there. You can watch the whole video below.
